In the frame of the Montenegrin Cultural Week in Albania, screening of the film “Sirin” directed by Senad Sahmanovic.

The screening of the film, an Albanian-Montenegro co-production will be followed by a Q&A session with director Senad Sahmanovic and his Albanian co-producer Dritan Huqi.

Production Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina – 2023 – 90 min – In Montenegrin with English subtitles.

Log line: Sanela, a Montenegrin with Muslim origins who left former Yugoslavia in the 90’s, right after her father was kidnapped and killed alongside other Muslims,  comes back to the Balkans after 20 years spent abroad, where she has betrayed her origins, erased her own culture, becoming a true Westerner. They say the past is a foreign land and that the one who goes and the one who returns are not the same person anymore.
