Ru est inspirĂ© de l’histoire de l’arrivĂ©e de Kim ThĂşy (Tinh) au QuĂ©bec. Après une traversĂ©e maritime pĂ©rilleuse et un sĂ©jour dans un camp de rĂ©fugiĂ©s malaisiens, une jeune vietnamienne prĂ©nommĂ©e Tinh et sa famille arrivent au QuĂ©bec oĂą ils commencent une nouvelle vie. Grâce Ă l’accueil chaleureux de tous, dont sa famille de parrainage, elle s’adapte peu Ă peu Ă sa nouvelle rĂ©alitĂ©. Tinh va surmonter sa timiditĂ© pour apprendre une nouvelle langue, dĂ©couvrir une nouvelle culture et s’adapter Ă une nouvelle vie au QuĂ©bec.

Ru is inspired by the story of the arrival of Kim ThĂşy (Tinh) in Quebec. After a perilous sea crossing, young Vietnamese Tinh and her family arrive in Quebec, where they begin their new life. Thanks to a warm welcome from everyone, including the family who sponsors them, Tinh slowly adapts to her new reality. Shy and reserved by nature, Tinh will have to draw from deep within herself the determination needed to adapt to her new reality.
